How do you surprise and delight your guests? It’s a question we hear often and are happy to provide the answers that meet all of your needs. What it comes down to is finding the right mix of rides, concessions, and games to keep your attendees engaged and feeling festive, all of which will support the overall theme of your event. When your guests come across something unexpected, it makes them feel like you personally considered what would make them happy. This can of course vary depending on the ages of your attendees and how large your event is. The more you pay attention to details from the start, the more successful you will be.
Quick Ideas
Featuring a Dedicated Kids Section?
Hire a clown to roam the area and greet people standing in line.
If a child doesn’t meet the ride height requirement – give them a small prize so they don’t walk away disappointed
If possible, provide a special area where families can disembark from their car so they don’t have to park far away.
Corporate Event?
Select the games that will resonate the most with your guests. You may want to divide your guests into “teams” and track who wins the most and give the winner an extra day off.
Provide your guests with the concession menu ahead of time and rename them to go along with your theme. (this gets people to look forward to the event without them even realizing it)
Do a treasure hunt. Leave clues throughout the carnival and the person who spots all of them first wins a fun prize.
Fundraiser?
This is a perfect time to mix fun with giving. Sprinkle “donation” buckets throughout your event.
Pick a popular concession (like cotton candy or pretzels) and say that for every two purchased, a small donation will be made to the group. This works well as people don’t feel pressured to give, but can still feel like they are helping out.
Designate official greeters who thank guests upon arrival for their support and give them a “token” to play a game or a coupon for a free concession to show your appreciation for their support.
