The Zipper

The ride vehicles move along the outer edge of the boom at a speed of 4 rpm, which may not seem particularly fast. However, the “flip” around the end of the oblong frame introduces a sudden burst of speed, causing the compartments to flip end over end. Simultaneously, the boom rotates at a rate of 7.5 rpm, aligning with the direction of the pulley system. This synchronized yet offset rotation results in each vehicle having a distinctive and unpredictable experience.
